Slide 5: (H&E staining) This tissue specimen shows normal tissue but there are also lesions. The normal tissue shows alveolar tissue, in which macrophages may be encountered. There are also bronchioles, lined by respiratory epithelium, and surrounded by muscle fibers. Throughout the tissue, vessels are present.
There are also lesions, with a nodular architecture:
- What is the name of these lesions?
- Which cell types are present in these lesions?
- Is there necrosis as well?
